I am directed by the Comptroller and Auditor General

to transmit to you, for the information of the Secretary of

State, a copy of the Annual Account of the Treasurer of

Hong Kong, of Receipts and Expenditure in the year 1894

to which the certificate of the Comptroller and Auditor

General has been appended, together with a copy of the

Treasurer's Statement of the Assets and Liabilities at the

close of the year.

I am also to enclose the Report of the

Comptroller and Auditor General upon these Statements and

to request that the "Detailed Statements of Revenue and

"Expenditure" transmitted herewith, in original, may be

returned.
